Compare that $149 against a competitor's yearly price and the comparison is off by a factor of four before you have started.

So run the multiplication yourself, on paper, before the checkout flow runs a smaller number past you.

Kentucky Asks Once a Year, Not Four Times

There is a rhythm mismatch worth noticing. Kentucky does not run this appointment on a quarterly cycle in any respect. The state opens one filing window, January 1 through June 30, collects one report at a flat $15, and then leaves you alone until the following January. That report is pre-populated by the state, arriving as a postcard-style confirmation of information already on record, and an online submission clears immediately.

One state filing a year. One state fee. Meanwhile the agent bill arrives four times in the same period. The cadence of the service has been set by a billing preference rather than by anything Kentucky requires.
